Black Box is a cabinet inspired by the black box theater. A simple wooden board—like an empty stage—can be transformed into anything. While the closed cube symbolizes the unknown, the open cabinet reveals a world of history, craftsmanship, and tradition—a tribute to creativity and making.
Behind the altarpiece-like marquetry lies the traditional raised theater stage with its curved backdrop. The rear doors offer a glimpse backstage—into the artist’s domain.
Black Box was built as my journeyman's cabinet and received the highest possible score - 5.0.
